New York’s Westchester County Approves Ban-the-Box

Stay Sharp, HR Legislative Update:
The Westchester County Board of Legislators in New York approved a “Ban-the-Box” legislation to ensure that past criminal offenders with criminal records are given a full opportunity to explain the circumstances related to their crime, when they are applying for a job.  This change in law is effective March 3, 2019 in Westchester County, New York for private employers with four or more employees.  For more information regarding this Fair Chance to Work Law, please visit the Westchester County Board of Legislators website HERE.
